Farmers Cooperative of El Campo (FCEC) has been serving agricultural communities along the Gulf Coast of Texas since 1982. FCEC was formed by the consolidation of El Campo Farmers Cooperative (1929) and Modern Farmers Cooperative Society (1928). The consolidation was formed to enable increased operational efficiency and reduce duplication of services to better serve the farmer members of the areas agricultural community.
Employee Base
FCEC employs 57 full-time employees and over 130 employees during peak periods to serve our members. FCEC field sales and service consultants offer decades of experience in all aspects of crop production, handling, processing and merchandising. To help insure consistent crop yields through reliable recommendations and programs FCEC retains Certified Crop Consultants and Nutrient Management Specialists on staff. Our grain marketing team markets 3-4 million bushels of grain for area producers each year through two marketing pools, helping our members manage their risks associated with marketing their grain.
Products and Services
FCEC provides years of experience in marketing and handling fuel through its current fuel division which markets upwards of 3 million gallons of fuel annually through fuel islands and bulk deliveries. This experience also brings knowledge of regulatory compliance issues involved with the storing and handling of fuels. To help insure members are maximizing their profit potential FCEC operates two cotton gins integrated with state of the art ginning processes that maximize gin turnout while maintaining cotton quality. Cotton gin volumes have reached over 100,000 bales ginned making it one of the larger ginning operations in the nation. FCEC maintains three cotton warehouses with storage capacities exceeding 30,000 bales. Three grain elevators are strategically located to provide producers convenience of delivery and flexibility in marketing with 3.4 million bushels of storage provided. Port of Victoria grain elevator provides rail, truck or barge transportation giving us access to domestic or international markets for export or import. FCEC agronomy division offers a full line of crop input products and maintains and operates the most up to date, fully automated fertilizer terminal in the area. Two hardware stores provide our members and customers with a large inventory of hardware, ranch supplies and feed, packaged and bulk, along with the knowledge and expertise to provide solutions for their problems.
